What about Mimi? Well, I told her that I never date friend' sister and we should just keep this relationship as brother and sister. She agreed and we remain friend until now, she was recently married and I had a chance to invite her & her husband for dinner.
Well, Mike did not like my presence at his house so he finished his dinner and get to his room to play game. He unheard the coversation of me and his mom and had no clue who I was until Mrs. N yell Mike Mike, come down here now. He rushed downstair and I got the proper re-introduction from his mom. His face turned white as he could not belive what just happened. 2 long lost friend now united in a strange situation right at his home.
Excuse me, Mrs. N - where did Mike go to elementary school?

Its ok - I said. I understand the feeling of the parents and protective brother to have a stranger visiting their home. I will do my best to have this trip as fun as I could. If things get too heated, I still can stay in a nearby motel until my flight back.
Around Christmas time, she invited me to visit her in Ohio. I have always wanted to come and visit her as most of our interaction was online and through the phone. I asked her to talk to her parents and get their permission, she talked to them and they are ok having a daughter's friend staying in their house for a few days. Pretty strange I guessed, who would let a stranger whom their daughter only met and talk online to stay in their house, not alone spending the winter holidays with them. But I was into her already, and really want to meet her. As soon as she told me her parents had green lighted, I booked the ticket immediately.
Somehow, Mike managed to keep contact with most of our elementary friends through Facebook and I was so happy to reconnect with all of them. I asked Mike to plan for a reunion (which happened in 2018), it was so strange to see all the little kids now turning into adults. I had a blast staying in Ohio that winter, never see that much snow in my life before and people there just seem to careless about the amount of snow they had. Mike's mom seem to enjoy the accompany of a son's friend, I follow her and help her everywhere she went during my stay. The next day after my arrival, Mrs. N went to the attic and found a photo of the birthday party 20+ years ago, in the picture was a boy sitting next to little Mimi. Do you know who this is? Mrs. N asked. That was you sitting with Mimi in Mike's bday. I could not belive my eyes, little Mimi now grown and became a wonderful lady.
Prior to my flight to Ohio, we talked and she told me that her brother was frustrated with the idea of a stranger visiting his underage sister from Texas. She asked me to be cool and don't get mad at anything he might throw at me as her brother is short tempered and like to irritate others.

Shit, I could not belive my ear. Somehow fate had brought two friend that went to same elementary school, same classroom halfway across the globe. Now we were here and not knowing that was a long lost friend 2 decades ago. I asked a few other questions and Mrs. N is able to identify who was I as she and my mom were in the Parent Representative Council at the same school. The stranger visiting their house quickly turned into a visit from a long lost friend of Mike.
During the dinner with the family, I heard her mom calling her brother and my friend by the nickname Mike and Mimi. Very strange as I remember back in elementary school. I have a friend name Mike and he also had a sister. I was invited to Mike's bday party at his house and remember his mom kept calling the name Mike and Mimi. Deja vu hit me like a typhoon, my head was spinning for a minute. There's no way!!! Could it be the same person? Or everything was just a coincident?
The flight to Ohio was quick, her family picked me up at the airport including her brother. They drove me to their house and set up a tasty dinner for me. I was so happy to meet her, she look even better outside with that same brightening smile. Her parents were super nice and friendly, they seem to like me and appreciate my presence at their house. Her brother? I nodded him at the airport as a hello gesture and not even getting a nod back.
In 2009, I found this girl on Facebook. She was living in Ohio, I was living in Texas. I was in my 1st year of university and she was a high school senior. We first exchanged messages online and she was really nice and fun to talk to, very bubbly & energetic. She sang really good and can draw, into photography like I was. Cute smile, brightening face features, everytime we talk - never a dull moment. I was drawn into her day by day, eagerly waiting to talk to her everyday.
I told my elementary friends about this story and they said this is one of the wildest thing they everheard, let alone the reunion at Mike's house and the reconnection with them.
